Vintage Lounge’s ultra-sleek ambience attracts a mix of young professionals, Financial District heavy hitters and collegiate hipsters looking to swill an after-work cocktail and munch on the restaurant’s stunning selection of Spanish appetizers known as tapas. The contemporary couches found near the bar area inspires conversation and the décor almost--but not quite--overshadows the glittery crowd. Definite late-night hotspot that seems more like an exclusive NYC tapas bar than a typical, Beantown haunt.

J.A. Stat's has one aim, and that is to bring an upscale restaurant and bar to the Financial District not only for the thousands of after work suits roaming the streets in search of a cocktail, but for the new denizens of downtown that are cropping up as quickly as their luxury condo buildings. The food is basic and upscale comfort. The cocktails are a'plenty.

Popular hangout with the business crowd, Brandy Pete’s serves up deli sandwiches and American staples like hamburgers, subs, salads and roast beef. Open since 1933, this pub also boasts a stellar selection of beers and pub grub like fried calamari. During the summer, they open up their doors and offer outdoor seating—a definite Financial District hotspot during lunch. Great place to wine and dine potential clients in a welcoming and comfortable environment.

The Vault provides a welcome retreat and will have you feeling nostalgic with the bold mahogany wood grain bar and rich details. The bar is long & spacious. Seats do go quickly. After 5pm, you're lucky if you can get one. However, there are plenty of tables that do not require reservations. There's a semi-private dining area with a fireplace & its own bathroom.
One of the most happening happy hours around. The Vault truly packs them in starting at 5pm- 8'ish. A happy hour favorite for the Brooks Brother suit clad crowd. Busy for lunch as well, this bar has great food and a happening after work scene. Local owners keep things happening in the Financial District as well as their bar on Nantucket Island: the Chicken Box.

This incredibly popular chain sits in Boston's Faneuil Hall area and caters to a mix of tourists and locals alike who will wait a long time to get a table. Also very popular with the Brooks Brothers suit wearing crowd that starts piling in for drinks weeknights around 5 pm- esp. popular in the summer for it's large patio. If you think schnozzing with people in power suits is sexy, this is the place.
The decor is bizarre - huge metal horse statue, striking lighting, a wall made of giant Jenga pieces, and a drawer which pulls out of the kitchen area filled with only tortilla chips (you can't make stuff like this up). The fries are incredibly thin, shoestring type, so definitely come here if you like this kind of fry. Fall-off-the-bone ribs and sizzling steaks are their specialty.

Delicious seafood and awesome chowder. However, past 8 pm, esp. in the summer, you will be hardpressed to find people entering the "Loft" to eat. This is one of the most crowded and crazy bars in the North End attracting 20 and 30 something yuppies. If you can find your way through the Lilly Pulitzer decked out crowd, you will find your way to the bar where inexpensive drinks flow. Be prepared to throw some elbows to get through the crowd. Everyone there is all about letting off a little steam for the hard day at the office. Summertime and early fall is the busy season with Thursday nights being the night you will probably have to wait in line after 8:30 pm. Credit cards and cash accepted.
